À propos
Renowned for his captivating and virtuoso interpretations of the works of Franz Liszt and the classical and romantic repertoire, Goran Filipec is a defender of the ideas of creativity and subjectivity in interpretation. He considers it as co-creation of the work, often making his own arrangements and adaptations. Goran Filipec is devoted to musical research; he holds a doctorate in music from the Sorbonne in Paris, with a specialty in pianistic practice of the 19th and 20th centuries. His recordings for the Naxos Music Group label have been applauded by the critics. His 2016 album Paganini Studies received the International Grand Prize from the Budapest Liszt society, placing him in the prodigious list of laureates alongside Vladimir Horowitz, György Cziffra, Alfred Brendel, Claudio Arrau, Zoltán Kocsis, and Maurizio Pollini.
