Petra Mengeringhausen devotes herself to musical awakening through the most original methods. She has a degree in music and pedagogy. (Dr. Hochs Konservatorium, Frankfurt/Main).
Founder of the Musikinder music school in the Yvelines, she has been leading music workshops and courses for children for many years. In addition, she has created and animated concerts for the “young audience” and “composers’ workshops”.
Since 2009, she has been the artistic director of the youth festival “Bach entdecken” in harmony with the “Bachwoche Ansbach” Festival in Germany. In this context she has created music and animation workshops around J.S. Bach.
She has been invited to the Festival der Nationen in Bad Wörishofen, the Festival Chopin in Paris and the Festival de la Vézère. Petra Mengeringhausen is the author of numerous articles and books on the mediation of classical music for children.
